Please take the time to view this important video message from Fr. Tom. He explains the procedures and guidelines we must follow for resuming public Masses starting next week on Wednesday, May 20th. Livestream links for this weekend's Masses will be shared tomorrow.
DISPENSATION AND LIVESTREAMING:
The faithful continue to have dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass. The weekend Masses will continue to be livestreamed to view at home. Weekday Masses will soon be livestreamed as well.
We expect that congregations at public Masses will be small, at least at first, and will not exceed the limit based on our church size.
WHO SHOULD NOT COME TO CHURCH:
--Anyone with symptoms of ANY illness, or who has been exposed to another with the Covid-19 virus in the past 14 days.
--Anyone at risk due to an underlying health issue; and also those over 60 or with frailty or other risk are encouraged to avoid the risk of attending public Mass.
PUBLIC MASS SCHEDULE (BEGINNING WEDNESDAY, MAY 20th)
- 8:00AM Monday through Friday
- 5:00PM Saturday
- 8:00AM and 10:00AM Sunday
ALL WHO WOULD COME TO CHURCH ARE TO:
--Check your temperature at home before coming (a simple digital or touch/swipe thermometer is convenient) - Temperature must be less than 99 degrees fahrenheit.. If anyone in your family has a temperature higher than 99, your whole family should stay at home.
--Enter through SIDE DOORS ONLY, which will be propped open, without touching door handles, knobs or push plates
--Observe six-foot distance in the pew between families or individuals, using only every other pew (they will be cordoned off)
--Observe six-foot distancing in SINGLE FILE in Communion lines, the center aisle and wall aisles
--ALL THOSE ATTENDING IN CHURCH ARE OBLIGED TO WEAR A MASK OR FACE COVERING (except under the age of two) WHILE IN CHURCH, lowering it only to receive Communion. THIS IS TO BE ENFORCED WITHOUT EXCEPTION FOR MASS TO PROCEED.
CHURCH CLEANING:
Prior to public Masses resumiming, the church will be completely cleaned. Additionaly, the entire church will be cleaned after each public Mass. Due to this requirement, there will no longer be open church hours for quiet prayer outside of the public Mass times, and the Adoration Chapel will remain closed.
In addition:
- There will be no hymnals or missalettes in the pews (you may bring your own missal if you want)
- Offertory processions, the Sign of Peace, and Communion from the chalice are suspended.
- The collection will be taken in stationary baskets, not by ushers. Holy water fonts are to remain empty.
- Again, the faithful continue to have dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass. The Sunday Masses will continue to be livestreamed to view at home and participate as best you can. Weekday Masses will soon be livestreamed as well.
